Line Lead

Major Responsibilities:

  • To ensure and co-ordinate that all the production plan and schedule are achieved. Necessary follow up and resolving the ongoing problems
  • To ensure that the line start-up have been check and verified before the start of the line
  • To ensure that all the production and equipment areas to be cleaned and well maintained with the help of line employees
  • To ensure that the desired manpower have been placed and used efficiently on all production lines
  • To ensure that the quality parameters are met and followed by implementing the standard recipes and process parameters while ensuring enough training is given to the relevant staff to get the desired quality products
  • Continuous training and feedback on the staff orientation and on job training
  • To make sure safe environment through regular daily visit of all the production premises and highlight the jobs to be done immediately
  • Responsible for supervision of all the production line and take necessary action in case there is any lapse in standards in term of staff or process parameters
  • Co-ordinate with the maintenance department for all the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
  • To ensure that the corrective actions from the maintenance have to be done on time without compromise on the quality of production
  • Co-ordination with R&D for any input in term of new product development
  • Give feedback and suggestions for the efficiency and improvement or any changes required in the existing procedures or process
  • To ensure that all process parameters and production are documented for any trace ability issues
  • Any other jobs as assigned by the Manager.

Reports Required:

Production supervisor is required to check & verify the following reports & highlights to his reporting managers for onward action

  • Daily Batch / Mixing Sheet for production
  • Daily Production process norms
  • Daily Process wastage report
  • Variation Report – Plant Wise (To verify the plant efficiency and check the baking loss)


  • Ability to multi-task; handling many responsibilities throughout the shift
  • Ability to adapt and work in a team oriented environment with minimal supervision
  • Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Production Planning, Controls and Instrumentation, Strategic Planning, Dealing with Complexity.


  • Medical Insurance Coverage after completion of 3 months’ probation.
